Why all souls yoga?
In a nutshell, I truly believe that yoga should be available for all souls.
Anyone with a curiosity about themselves, looking for a sense of ease and wellbeing or just wondering what yoga is all about, should have the chance to give it a go.
Plus, I love yoga, with a capital L, Love yoga because it saved me.
When I rolled out a mat and sat down (which at first was really uncomfortable, I mean who sits on the floor!?) it gave me time to be, to learn how to breathe, to stretch and move my body, to sit with myself and be in a space where I could land my feet back on the earth - literally and figuratively (actually, that in itself was really cool. Who knew our toes did so much?!)
I began to understand how to step back from the unceasing thought stream in my mind and noticed my life again. I started to sleep better, to feel happier and calmer, to loosen the tension through my shoulders and shake off the headaches. I began to understand what it meant to be in the moment, to feel the ups and downs of my day and to find the balance in between.
I learned how to meet life in the moment and I’ve never looked back.
I signed up for a 500hr Teacher Training Program and off I went. I haven’t stopped training or learning since.
Life can sometimes be challenging, busy and we can feel time poor; I get it, really I do. In fact, even committing to yourself can be difficult but I urge you to trust your instincts and give yourself a chance.
Come and visit us at All Souls Yoga. When you attend one of my classes, be prepared to be greeted with a smile and the warm invitation to make the practice your own.
